Capturing this living light is always exciting - I've kept it a little more relaxed and impressionistic here to keep it calm and almost abstract. I am American Impressionist Painter, Karen Tarlton - painting with a unique sense of color, texture and light. The palette knife, allow me to stay loose, merging colors and sculpting wet paint into a dynamic final product. My paintings take on a multi-dimensional form and are easily recognized for their use of heavy-texture and bold colors to emphasize nature’s spontaneity and beauty in a modern, abstract way.
